Founder, Slay It Proud

Janiah Hinds

My name is Janiah Hinds and I am a teen entrepreneur. I started my business because of my interest in Black History. Ever since I was a child Black History was always fascinating to me. I always hungered to know more about the past of my people and I was sad to see that my people’s history was not being taught to me in school. If my school was not teaching Black History many other schools probably aren’t either.

I decided I wanted to do something about it so I started putting out content about Black History. Now I’ve created a camp to teach young people like me who want to know more about their history.

In this camp your child will…

  • Receive a live lesson that includes: video instruction, curriculum, guest speakers, and museum tours.

  • Be exposed to information that will inspire an interest in black history even in a child that never thought this was a subject they’d be interested in.

  • Learn the empowering truth about the accomplishments of Black people as we walk through some of the familiar (and not so familiar) parts of Black History.

  • Know the “how” and “why” behind why the world is the way it is today. Celebrate those who were catalysts for change and gain a greater sense of pride about who they are and where they’ve come from.

This is a can’t-miss event. Register now!
